Since my little dogs sleep on top of my bed, this gives me some peace of mind. Because of the way it's made, it's not hot, or noisy, like previous mattress protectors I've tried. I'm very happy with this one.

CAVEAT EMPTOR! These covers have a stated 10 yr warranty, but I have consistently had them fail at 2 yrs. For warranty involving cleaning or replacing the mattress you are supposed to buy it with that mattress. Keep the receipt and you will be required to send the old pad in to find out why it failed. You are to dry it with other items, and on a lower heat setting. I'm in the process of getting #'s 3-6 replaced now. Last time I had difficulty with less than helpful customer service through Protect-a-Bed. I'll see how it goes this time. when asked about cleaning the mattress Protect a bed offerd instructins on how to clean a mattress. I left it at replacing my covers and haven't pushed for professional cleaning or replacement of the soiled mattresses. I'd like to hear if anyone has had success with either of those remedies.
On the plus size, they are comfortable and look nice.
added 3/3- p.s. once again struggling with their customer service for replacement products.... |

For the last 10 years I've hald a dozen different mattress pads that would stay flat on the bed and not bunch up under the bottom fitted sheet... to no avail, until this one. The elestic around the edges is strong and short enough to create a steady pull on the pad under the mattress so the pad stays taut on the mattress. And it does the job of preventing body fluids and hair/skin oils from soaking through to the mattress. It's plenty large to wrap around most thick mattresses and yet isn't bulky so it fits easily into my washing machine.
will NOT protect your mattress!!!!

I just bought several of these pads for all of the beds in my house. I have very young children just out of diapers. Well guess what, for the first time in 4 months my 3 year old wet the bed. No problem I thought because I bought a waterproof mattress protector. Too my shock, whick quickly turned to anger, when I went to strip the sheets the mattress was soaked, stained, smelly, etc. I am furious!!!! This was on our very expensive pillow top sleep number bed!!!! I would still be furious if it occured on a cheap mattress. I spent over $100.00 on these things and now have to buy another brand due to the fact that in no way shape or form would I trust a replacement!!!!

Bought this cover one month ago when I started noticing a couple of bites. Never laundered it. I have since had to patch it with duct tape when I noticed a couple of weakened areas. I have no animals nor a significant other. There should have been no trauma to the cover. I feel like an idiot for having spent so much money.
