Affordable Cosmetic Surgery

Finding affordable cosmetic surgery you can trust is no easy task.

After all, you don’t want to dive into plastic surgery with the cheapest surgeon you can find if you don’t know that he delivers good results. Everyone has seen pictures of the effects of bad plastic surgery, and they are not pretty. You do not want to take a chance with a surgical procedure that is going to affect the way you look for the rest of your life.

When I started looking for an affordable cosmetic surgeon, I knew it would take a long time to make a decision. I wanted to do as much research as necessary to find the right person to do my surgery. The problem is that there is no central registry where you can find out info on surgeons.

Of course, you can check that you are going to a board certified cosmetic surgeon, and you can look into his credentials and make sure he went to a good school. Seeing his work and evaluating what sort of job he does is another matter.

Peritoneal Mesothelioma Risks

Peritoneal Mesothelioma Risks Caused from Asbestos Exposure
Author: Gene Medame
Asbestos is a natural mineral that was once used in the construction and home improvement industries. It was put on ceilings when it was mixed with aertex, it was used to make surfaces semi flame resistant and it was also mixed with cement as it is very strong. At one point asbestos was seen as a revolution for these industries as it was just so versatile – it was also deadly. No one realised at the time that every time they were exposed to asbestos that they were taking their life in their hands and putting themselves in grave danger. Asbestos is now banned but its legacy lives on in the thousands of people who are feeling the after effects of being exposed to it over the years.

Exposure to asbestos is directly related to certain types of cancer, including peritoneal mesothelioma which is cancer of the membranes in the abdominal cavity. Peritoneal mesothelioma is the second rarest form of mesothelioma and each year it is responsible for around 20% of the cases of diagnosed mesothelioma. As exposure to asbestos is the only known cause of peritoneal mesothelioma there are two main ways that doctors believe that it can actually reach the abdominal wall. One way is through the digestion of asbestos fibres which is actually easy than most might think. After arriving in the digestive tract the asbestos fibers get stuck and can gradually leads to peritoneal mesothelioma. The second way that asbestos gets to the abdomen is through the lymph nodes and lungs when asbestos is inhaled. In some cases pleural mesothelioma will result in peritoneal mesothelioma ad the asbestos moves through the lungs and into the abdominal cavity if left untreated and undiagnosed for some months.

Suspicion of peritoneal mesothelioma is usually made when a patient exhibits signs such as pain in the abdomen, chest or stomach and many suspect hernias are actually created by a tumour caused by peritoneal mesothelioma. Often a misdiagnosis that does not include peritoneal mesothelioma can be made and this can have severe repercussions on the life expectancy of a patient. It is usual for someone who is thought to have peritoneal mesothelioma to have to undergo many tests to get a correct diagnosis and these tests are imaging scans and tissue biopsies.

Patients who are found to have peritoneal mesothelioma do not have a good prognosis. However if a diagnosis of peritoneal mesothelioma is made early enough they could have surgery to remove the disease and some cases it can extend a patient’s life span for a few more years. If surgery is not an option then chemotherapy or radiotherapy can help although there is no guarantee that this will make much of a difference. It is essential that a person with peritoneal mesothelioma gets the right kind of treatment for any pain that they experience so that they are as comfortable as they can be. Peritoneal mesothelioma, like the other forms of mesothelioma is highly unpleasant and hard to live with.

What is Herpes?

Herpes is an sexually transmitted infectious disease caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV). It causes painful infection in human beings such as watery blisters on the lips, mouth or on the genitals. The main residential sites for HSV are semen, vaginal fluids, shredded skin in the pelvic area and saliva and the contamination generally occurs through sexual contact with herpes infected person, therefore the best way to keep away from herpes is to avoid sexual contact with the diseased person. Women are more prone to Herpes as compared to men. Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) is of two types – HSV-1 and HSV-2.

What is HSV-1 and HSV-2?

· HSV-1 or Herpes Type-I impinge on the skin and mucous membranes, it causes cold sores or fever blisters and is transmitted by oral and respiratory secretions. It is also referred to as oral herpes.

· HSV-2 on the other hand affects the private areas and can result in painful genital ulcers. HSV-2 is transmittable through all kinds of sexual contacts (anal sex, oral sex, vaginal sex, and kissing). HSV-2 is also commonly referred to as genital herpes.

What are herpes symptoms?

Herpes can be inactive or silent and may outbreak without any prior herpes sign symptoms. So, people often remain uninformed of being infected. However some noticeable early herpes symptom includes pain during urination, burning, itching, tingling or tenderness. These warning symptoms can help you identify whether or not you are suffering from herpes. Some people who suffer from HSV-2 often experience mild herpes symptoms incase of silent herpes which may be apparent after a week or so.

Herpes Oral Symptoms
Herpes oral symptoms are usually not apparent in most of the cases, but oral painful infections which may cause burning, or itching may be the early herpes symptoms of oral herpes. Some of the common herpes oral symptoms are:

· Fever
· Headache
· Muscle ache
· Swollen glands
· Flu-like symptoms
· Lower back pain
· Fever and swollen glands
· Outbreaks of blisters
Genital Herpes Symptoms
Genital herpes sign symptoms become noticeable within 2-10 days after the virus is transmitted. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. These blisters break leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak. The infection may stay in the body indefinitely, but the number of outbreaks tends to decrease over a period of years. If you notice a herpes outbreak symptom, you must take medical help. Some of the common genital herpes symptoms are:
· Genital infections
· Painful ulcers in genital area
· Pain when urinating
· Small red bumps in genital area
· Suppressed immune systems
· Burning sensation in the genitals
· Painful urination or vaginal discharge
· Urinary tract infections
· Abrasions or razor burns
· Ingrown hair follicles

Prevention of Herpes
Herpes cannot be cured but definitely can be prevented with diligence and care, and regular herpes treatment can help to keep a check on herpes outbreak symptom that can further lessen the transmission. Herpes can be easily diagnosed with a blood test, microscopic testing of tissue scrapings, viral cell culture test, immune response test.

To put a stop to the transmission of HSV:
· Normal persons should practice monogamous sex
· Use latex condoms and practice safe and healthy sex
· Practice daily suppressive therapy for symptomatic herpes
· Visit a local STD clinic or hospital to seek proper medical aid
